World Teacher's Day 5 October 2011: Since 1994 World Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5 October and today also this world is celebrating teacher's day 2011. It is an opportunity for UNESCO and Education International to celebrate the profession and to promote international standards for the teaching profession.
World Teachers’ Day has a different theme every year, Teachers for gender equality is the theme for this year for teacher's day.Despite women has entered the in the teacher profession field but the inequality is always observed and remained an issue.
EI is global voice of education workers called Education International which represents the 30 million teachers and other education workers.
UNESCO is a specialized United Nations agency called United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
