Storm tracker: Hurricane Irene headed for New York, New Jersey :We had Storm Tracker 5000, then it was Doppler 5000 with the phony radar like screens and now it's back to just plain Storm Tracker 5. What I really dislike.Safety precautions have already been taken, as sewers are being cleaned to optimize street drainage and police boats have been moved to low-lying ares. Even so, the subway is still a problem. Public transport and thus evacuation could be challenging.Hurricane Irene: Storm Tracker Shows Position and Path. Current temperature in Lexington is 86 levels and mostly sunny.At this time (which is susceptible to change), Friday would be the proverbial calm prior to the storm.
